My Grandma made her own lard..I do know more!

We have two towns; 25 miles apart...both around 10,000 in population.

One town is the "gang officers in the school town" that I referenced earlier.

After the consolidation of the packing plant industry in the 90's, (and the influx of illegals); their packing plant continued while the one in the other town closed down.

Several years later, when looking to expand operations, another pack came sniffing around to purchase the closed plant in the other town.

The city managers, seeing what was happening to their south, responded by "zoning" the entire city off-limits to packing plants.

You should have heard the whining from the packers!

Let's all stick together and remember who the real enemy is.

Or, to put it another way, let's concentrate on our most deadly enemies not our most annoying ones.

I'm taking suggestions for names for our Army.

I always thought of Dorthy, the farm and OZ when I thought about Kansas. You popped that bubble.

Thanks. I needed that. I can't believe anyone would take what I said and twist it into something sick about how I treat children. For crying out loud, I have true arachniphobia but I catch every single spider I find and toss them outside instead of smashing them. (I'll probably catch hell for saying that I "toss" them.)

I squash spiders and can't get why people don't.

OTHER THAN Daddy Long Legs. My own Daddy told me they were "good" spiders...so? They roam freely...

Fine. I'm going to bed. But I'm not brushing my teeth. (big yellow teeth are good for scaring children)

Are you serious? Is English your second language or what? I have been told/encouraged to consider you to be "on our side" so I think it's best that I don't respond to you anymore. I don't need to be accused of mistreating children or any other ridiculous nonsense. Ask someone else what my post means.

At this point I think I'm limited to suggesting "The Soft and Fuzzy People With Pink Pajamas." Anything else and I'm liable to be accused of something ... bad...or something.

I didn't say I was afraid of him. Here is what I said:

I tried several more times to shoo him away (for his safety and comfort, not mine)

...should I have just let him stand there and get grease and gravel and water all over him and maybe in his eyes.

I was washing some very greasy engine parts on the ground and didn't want him to get wet, filthy or hurt.

Did you miss those sentences? : )
