He's quickly losing my support too. If he (Bush) can be THIS wrong on illegal aliens, the Dubai port deal, spending... well, now I'm wondering if he's wrong on the war.

The Republicans have lost my support

Why .. because 3 senators on a COMMITTEE voted to pass this draft bill?

You are forgetting the House where the Party still has a set. They have a tough Bill that was passed. I want to see how this plays out in negotiations between the House and Senate. All my donations now go to the NRCC which is the House Republican Caucus. Let's not throw away our majority where it still counts.

What got me was Bush's statement the other day " All we need to do is enforce the existing laws " Well, isn't that your job ? The last time I checked it was the Executive Branch the controlled the Justice Department

[[The Republicans have lost my support. I am through with this party. Spineless idiots who IGNORE THEIR BASE! Including this President....continually ignoring his base]]

Every fax that goes out of my office to my elected officials contains the following PS at the bottom of the letter:

We will work tirelessly to defeat ANY elected official who votes against the best interest of the American worker, US border security, US sovereignty or that sponsors or supports any amnesty scheme disguised as a guest worker program.

I no longer support Bush or the cowardly republican party. They have caved to a bunch of open border activists and it will cost them dearly in the next election.

Me too, Blue Turtle. The RNC sent a letter wanting money. I sent the form back and told them I could no longer support the party because, among other things, they're spending like democrats and their unwillingness to defend our borders. They have betrayed their base and have become an "all talk, do nothing" party. My one little letter may not do much, but if they get enough feed back they may realize the danger they face at election time. I can't vote democratic, so I guess Libertarian is the way to go.

Your sentiments are definitely common. Most people vote for the GOP now simply to slow the rate of the demise of this nation. Libs would significantly hasten the process just as Clinton did during his 8 years.

Funny that they run on one thing and then do another when in office.

Someone should start a blog/service/etc. that creates a consortium of sorts that endorses certain candidates that promise to fight illegal immigration. If they are not active in this, then for their following campaign their opponents are endorsed.

Can faith/trust in politicians be much lower than it is now?

I'm the president's base in every sense of the word. I have voted for him in every primary and general election since he first ran for governor. I've donated to his war chests. I've even volunteered my time, a time or two. So I know that I'm his base, and he hasn't ignored me.

You're not alone. They have also lost my support. The comedy show in the Senate yesterday was the last straw.

The President's base is not hysterical idiots. His base are those patriots who understand we are in a long gruelling war with deadly enemies at home and aboard. Attacks on the President and the GOP are assists to the Party of Treason.

The question is what fool are the hysterical idiots going to support and will he get over 1.5% of the vote?

You are unhappy with the Left leaning actions of the idiot RINOS so you're going to sit back & allow the FAR LEFT to regain power?
Primaries can show incumbent back stabbing RINOS that the conservative base is Fed Up!!!
We can force incumbents out during primaries.
But, if we become so agitated by the "moderates" we allow socialist Democrats to gain power, conservatives are finished in America. (sadly)
