Polls: Illegals a Serious Problem in U.S. [The Prez and RINO Party Must Not Of Read This]

Most people in the United States think illegal immigration is a serious problem. A solid majority oppose making it easier for illegal immigrants to become legal workers or citizens.

Some findings in recent polling:

Some 59 percent say they oppose allowing illegal immigrants to apply for legal, temporary-worker status, an NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll found.

More than six in 10, 62 percent, say they oppose making it easier for illegal immigrants to become citizens, according to a Quinnipiac University poll. Nine in 10 in that poll say they consider immigration to be a serious problem - with 57 percent of those polled saying very serious.

Three-fourths say the United States is not doing enough along its borders to keep illegal immigrants out, a Time Magazine poll found. The NBC-WSJ poll was taken in March, Quinnipiac in February and Time in January. The NBC-WSJ and Time polls surveyed about 1,000 adults and had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. The Quinnipiac poll of 1,892 registered voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points.

Hint: Leave the editorial comments off your thread title, at least until you're more comfortable with grammar.

You are correct, unfortunately, that we are stuck with the illegals that are here. The answer in short form is physically close the border and get control of ports of entry and enforce speedy automatic deportation for anyone caught border jumping. Also anchor baby protection must be terminated.

you have not been watching the senate for several years

I've been watching the Senate on cspan2 almost every day for the last few years and I am well aware of what is going on

And 3 Senators on a committee don't speak for the WHOLE party

BTW ... I also see what is going on with some posts around here

repubs ignore their "conservative base"

-Tax cuts
-Conservatives on the bench
-Stronger military
-Powerful, free-market economy
-More restrictions on abortion and acceptance of a pro-life culture
-Aggressively pursuing terrorists across the globe
-Please see my #18.

Thank you.

Hint: I will do as I please, and you should mind your own business on others threads. Nobody said you had to become a part of this thread. Go back to bed and get up on the other side. The world will be a better place for it.

To all responses: Where would we put them? its called deportation, put them in a plane and drop them off where they came. you people, open your eyes....when an illegal is driving a car and runs over your kid, or kills your family to steal from you....don't say you weren't warned. you are supporting impotent, inactive, ego-driven men who have no desire to change things. And when your taxes, property, auto, insurance go through the roof...thank the illegals for doing that. You are paying for THEIR behavior! and you know what...they don't like you, they hate the white man and they hate america. they want to keep their mexican heritage and spit on our history. Trancedo gets my FULL $upport!

No matter that the overwhelming number of Americans want tough action taken on immigration, the House of Lords cavalierly refuses, taking its marching orders instead from the Chamber of Commerce and La Raza.

I've already put my two Senators (Frist and Alexander) on notice that I will not support them if they approve amnesty ("guest worker") or increased immigration. (I realize Frist is not seeking reelection to the Senate, but he has a burning desire to be president.)

I also will not support a presidential candidate like our current open-borders president, who has been a disaster.

If enough people do likewise, these political plutocrats will not be able to get enough illegal votes to keep them in office.

Where would you suggest putting 11 million illegals in a current system where two million convicts are said to be a 98 percent prison saturation?

We wouldn't have to put them anywhere. Just cut off all the benefits they have here and they will do either one of two things: assimilate or go back home. Once those who intend to immigrate illegally see that the cash cow has been cut off, they won't even attempt to come here.

And what are the good people of the good old USA going to do about this??

I, for one, am voting with my wallet. In the past, I have sent several hundred dollars a year to the RNC. Now, when I get their (almost daily) requests in the mail, I write, using a bold red marking pen, that they will never see another dime from me until they get serious about fighting illegal immigration.

It's possible that the staffer who opens the envelope just looks for a check, and, failing to find one, tosses the response into the big round file. It's also possible that if tens of thousands of such responses are opened, someone with some sense might start paying attention.

You had the audacity to post this absurd rant, thereby making me a part of it. So rather than address your content (or lack thereof), I thought we'd start with something easy like your poor comprehension of the English language. Although it is admittedly better than your comprehension of the political scene.

Hey, who wants to bet that CC has already run crying to the mods over mean ol' Coop?!? ROTFL!! If not, then this post should do it.

Run, Forrest, run!!

He doesn't mean this at all, it's just words to fool some people. If he was serious, something would be done. Did you see or hear of any enforcement happening in Los Angeles the past few days?? What an opportunity that was to make a show of strength. NOTHING!
