"Here is a middle path. Keep 'em illegal. Secure the border. Crack down on employers hiring illegals. Eliminate education and benefits for illegals. And then offer anyone who wants it a bus ride back over the border - with meals."
You got my vote!!!!

I refuse to write to anyone I helped elect anymore. They don't act on behalf of the people who elected them so why bother? This government doesn't have the balls to stand up for its people or the laws on the books. Let it go bankrupt so we can try something better.

Wonder what our "representatives" are getting in exchange for selling out the country?

Well, at least we can hope the debate was civil (/sarcasm)

Lou Dobbs. One solid guy. Thinks the Kennedy Bill nonsense.

When employer sanctions first got going Reagan enforced them. It was Poppy Bush who put a stop to it and they haven't been enforced since. No wonder millions more have come in when the government won't do their jobs, I guess that's called "compassionate conservatism" these days.

I don't trust the House. I don't distrust them as MUCH as the Senate, but I do not trust them. Especially the new guy who replaced Delay.
Never say never in politics.
The ONLY thing working in favor in the House, is that they go through election cycles every two years. They personally feel more in jeopardy than rejects like McCain and Linds do. That's the only reason they are taking a hard line on it to begin with. If they had six year terms, the majority would side with the Senate's bill guarenteed.
We'll see what happens, but I don't trust any politician on this particular issue.

Who is to blame for the 12-15 million illegals being here today? That is easy.
Poppy Bush, Slick Willie and Junior Bush.

Let me guess, a new guest worker program and no border enforcement. Guest worker program, relabel illegal aliens "legal" aliens, more border agents to funnel the influx physically through checkpoints.

We are being betrayed right now. You are watching it. My God, and you want to support the Republican (or Democrat) party? My God, these fools are going to Balkanize our nation and take us down the road to civil war ... this won't bring "partnership with Mexico", or "comprehensive" anything. Within 20 years, because of the no-border policy, this will bring (1) WAR WITH MEXICO, and (2) THE ILLEGALS WILL BE OUR NATION'S PALESTINIAN TERRORIST.
My God, what fools.
How many of you marched today?
10?
Not 500,000 ...
We lost our nation. Because we are weak asses.
Now our children will suffer.

Now our children will suffer. You're right...I hope people are considering the fate of their children and grandchildren. Hug them tight in the days to come...
