I don't trust the House. I don't distrust them as MUCH as the Senate, but I do not trust them. Especially the new guy who replaced Delay.

Never say never in politics.

The ONLY thing working in favor in the House, is that they go through election cycles every two years. They personally feel more in jeopardy than rejects like McCain and Linds do. That's the only reason they are taking a hard line on it to begin with. If they had six year terms, the majority would side with the Senate's bill guarenteed.

We'll see what happens, but I don't trust any politician on this particular issue.

The only way an amnesty in the House could pass is with democrat support. You're right, never say never but I have confidence that the conservatives won't let that happen, they've been fighting too long and hard to throw in the towel now to Ted Kennedy and the other liberal lowlifes in the Senate.
