Al Azhar, the biggest and most prestigious Islamic university, expelled one of its promising law students this past Friday after the 22-year-old, Abdelkareem Nabil Soliman (nicknamed “Kareem Amer”) was called in to a disciplinary hearing where he expounded upon his blasphemous thoughts and ideas.
You see, Abdelkareem is a champion of human rights and women’s rights, which totally contradicts the fact that he is, in fact, a Moslem.
This newest happening in the life of young Abdelkareem shows that life, indeed, does bring us full circle.
The Egyptian youth, who lives in Alexandria, was an innocent bystander in the October Maharram Beh Riot that happened in the same neighborhood that he lives in.
He wrote an article on 23 October 2005, condemning the riot, and, indeed, the entire Islamic religion, and was subsequently arrested on 26 October 2005 for the inflammatory not-quite-rhetoric, entitled “The naked truth about Islam as I saw it in Maharram Beh.”

Damn liberal. When are we going to start expelling our liberals? Oh, wait. In Egypt, the liberals are freedom fighters, and the conservatives are fascists. In America, the liberals are fascists and the conservatives are freedom fighters.
This will become commonplace in the US if McPain, et al get their way (and FR will be one of the first places hit).
