Abdul Rahman faces death at the hands of our Afghan allies for the crime of converting to Christianity.
The charges were dropped but, if Rahman stays in an islamic country, his life is over. Imams all over Afghanistan have called for him to be torned into little pieces by the citizenry.
oops. Torned = torn.
They said the charges against him were dropped "for lack of evidence" and procedural reasons, not that they had dropped the whole concept of executing people for converting away from Islam. Obviously, a lot of pressure was put on the Afghan government to find a way out.
But letting them enshrine sharia in their civil law in the first place was a serious mistake, and I'm not sure how we're going to get around it in the future. The Afghanis and their mad mullahs clearly plan to enforce it, if not this time, certainly on some other occasion.
Damned right it was wrong!
It was "expedient", but does not eliminate a dreadful and unacceptable ongoing law there.
Sure, being a sovereign country, they can have any laws they want, but they are not welcome in the US. Ever. Period.
