Disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff has advised friends that he has no derogatory information about former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and is not implicating him as part of his plea bargain with federal prosecutors.

Abramoff's guilty plea on fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy charges requires him to provide evidence about members of Congress. That led to speculation that this would mean trouble for DeLay, who faces money laundering and conspiracy charges in Texas.

The fact is that the damage has been done. Democrats are very successful at using the legal system to attack their enemies.

Scooter Libby is facing 30 years in prison and Delay has been destroyed as a Republican leader.

At some point, the timid Republicans will have to defeat this trick.

Not a word in the Austin paper today. I guess there will be a blurb on A-8 or A-10 tomorrow for Ronnie Earle to miss.

If this is true, then I'd say Abramoff did more damage to Dingy Harry than he did to DeLay.

The Dems shoot themselves in the foot again.

Oh yeah, they'll print the story. All you need to do is look in the Kid's Find a Word Puzzle, and hold it up to a mirror to find the headline. I believe it's the first time the NYT has run a backwards and upside down message.
