The parents of captured Marine Sergeant Matt Maupin have mixed emotions about the latest search for their son.
They're glad to know the military continues to search for him, but upset they didn't know about the latest search until they were told by 9News that the information was posted on the Marine Corps website.
However this time forces were reportedly looking for remains after receiving a tip to search an Iraqi desert.
The second anniversary of Matt Maupin's capture is April 9.
My bad...he's been promoted twice. He is a Sgt.
Maybe that's why the Marines didn't tell his parents.
Not that it matters in the big picture, but he actually a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
Maupin is not a Marine.
If you read the article you will notice who was leading this search. I KNOW HE SERVES IN THE U.S. ARMY.
