Big deal. A mailing list error.
But we all know the media will hype it to milk some perception that the recruiters are desperate.

So....which Gen Xer got the letter asking him to join the AARP?

I've got a week's pay that says she could kick Jimmy Carter's ass. |

Hell, I'd give a week's pay to watch that fight on Pay-per-view.

I saw this story earlier on a forum for Marines that I frequent. Somebody said something like 'They'll let her keep her walker, but she'll have to double-time around carrying it at high port'. LOL!

Well, she could visit the USMC recruiting station with the letter, and sort the things out.

I got a paper cut at work today. Perhaps that will make national headlines?

Man, I'm 42 - too old to re-enlist in the army - I work out three days a week, and I can't even get pinged by the gaddamned Coast Guard
Reserve.
I am so not feeling my groove right now.

CBS
Sonia Goldstein, 78, thought it was hilarious when she received a recruitment letter from the Marine Corps.

However, you might be able to get on at Old Navy. :-)

Geee, maybe there are more than one Sonia Goldstein's on this planet... what a stupid non-story.

I'd love to help ya out- I wandered into the Marine recruiting station after 9/11 while I was recuperating from a 5x bypass, to see if they'd take a prior service Marine back.
They didn't.
