It doesn't matter. What our senators must remember is most of those 500,000 do not vote (legally that is) So if our Senators want to keep their jobs they better worry about the silent majority that is fed up with illegal immigration.

I just made my phone calls today. I had to leave a recording for half of the Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee (the other half's mailboxes were full - what a surprise!). I wanted to call on a day where I could reference the riots/protests happening at that moment by illegals that couldn't even vote and that the Senators had better not listen to them over the voting public. I told them it's a slap in the face to every legal immigrant and to us citizens that they would even consider letting these people stay here legally.

We have to speak out loud and clear that there is another side to the story - by the people who can actually vote in this country. The Senate Judiciary Committee will meet on Tuesday (I think) to make a mockery of their constituents' desires and of the Sensenbrenner bill waiting for them.

The problem is that Baby Bush wants to legalize 10-15 million illegals and he will take the Republican Party down with him. So what are all those yuppie "conservatives" driving up and down the highways with "W" stickers going to do....vote for Hillary. I think not. But if you mention one of the few true patriots who want to maintain our way of life (e.g. Pat Buchanan) on this forum you will be pilloried. We need a third party that stands up for the values of Western Civiliztion that founded and made this country what it once was. The folks with their "W" stickers will still go out and vote for the "conservative" Repulican party next time even after they have given away the country to an invading force. The Senators you mention realize that blacks will vote for their own interests, and hispanics will do the same, but white "conservatives" will not...they'll just go put another "W" sticker on their car and then bitch and moan about the fact that they have to "press one to speak English"...

the silent majority that is fed up with illegal immigration.

Exactly right. But, the silent majority needs to start talking out loud - and direct their grievances to the people they elected. "We the People", indeed.
