While I don't doubt that, do you have a source? Or were you there?

This whole thing is bizarre... if left unchecked, we'll be in a very different America ten/twenty years from now

There are still basic requirements for immigrants (and I mean immigrants, not illegal aliens) to speak English. Sounds like that isn't being enforced either?

This article forgot to mention the chants of "brown power."

Many articles seem to do that, don't they!

"They don't vote. It doesn't matter if 100 million showed up they don't vote."

They do vote. you ever wonder why they don't ask for ID when you vote?

That is not true. There is no requirement that an immigrant have any English skills and many do not.

My school district is talking about floating a 5 BILLION dollar bond to pay for new schools so we can teach the illegals enough is enough.

teaching the illegals? I'm not sure if it's possible... The stats from the high school that the protesting LA students were from are appalling - average SAT scores around 800! That would be 50%. That would be failing! What a waste of a lot of money.

Huh?

"To be eligible for naturalization, you must be able to read, write, and speak basic English."

No, this was reported last night on our local news - the Tucson and LA protests were mixed together. I tried to find a transcript but can't. Somebody probably has a photo of a sign somewhere... I did see the signs on the news about how all Europeans are invaders who should leave America.

you better believe that. Our problem is that we sit silently and expect our government to do right by the ones who pay our taxes and follow the rules. Meanwhile, this trash bangs a bunch of pots and pans and all of a sudden you have Hillary the bitch Clinton saying that the measures in Congress are anti-whatever. I think until we as American citizens flex our muscles in a serious way, we're doomed to be on the short end of the stick.

The folks with their "W" stickers will still go out and vote for the "conservative" Repulican party...

I hope enough of us have learned our lesson. The day 'W' called the Minutemen 'vigilantes' is the day I scraped the "W" stickers off my car and tore up my "Moms 4 Bush" T-shirt for a car rag. From here on out, I'm voting for the candidate only - not their party. And I'm only voting my conscious, not for the lesser of 2 evils. I should've voted for McClintock (he had the best answer to the question about illegals - something about the operative word was 'illegal') and I should've stayed out of the 2004 Presidential election. If enough of us stay firm on this 1) the GOP will become conservative again eventually or 2) a true conservative 3rd party will emerge from the ashes eventually.

If one were to search my posts on this issue one would find that I don't actually blame the illegals. They would not be coming here if they were not being offered jobs. I blame people like you who have hired illegals.

In hiring illegals, you have taxed those of us who don't to pay their benefits that you should have paid including health care at the local emergency room, education of their children in our schools, their car insurance through our own premiums, the infrastructure they execute wear and tear on, and the costs associated with incarcerating them- all to enrich yourself. Shame on you!

The free market works on wages just as any other commodity. If you had not hired these people, the rest of us wouldn't have to clean up your mess. You have also succeeded in putting others out of business who didn't hire illegals. Shame on you!

I want people like you put in jail and all of your ill-gotten property seized. That will help pay the estimated $14B that California taxpayers are paying to keep these people and their progeny here.

"To be eligible for naturalization, you must be able to read, write, and speak basic English."

You are confusing the term "immigrant" with "citizen" and "naturalization". As I corrected you, there is no requirement for an "immigrant" or green card holder to have any basic English skills. Someone can immigrate to the U.S. and never learn English while holding a "green card" forever. Indeed, if they wish to become a U.S. citizen they will need to learn rudimentary English. Most Hispanics choose not to do so. Apples and Orages.

Americans are afraid to stand up to this because they will be called racist.

Redress for racial, ethnic or religious past inequality or injustice may destroy this country.

I hired illegals? Funny, I thought I hired immigrants. Are they the same thing?

I think an apology is in order.
