We are not a "nation of immigrants." This is both a factual error and a warm-and-fuzzy non sequitur. Eighty-five percent of the residents currently in the United States were born here. Sure, we are almost all descendants of immigrants. But we are not a "nation of immigrants."
(Isnt it funny, by the way, how the politically correct multiculturalists who claim we are a nation of immigrants are sooo insensitive toward Native American Indians, Native Alaskans, Native Hawaiians, and descendants of black slaves who did not immigrate here in any common sense of the word?)
Even if we were a nation of immigrants, it does not explain why we should be against sensible immigration control.

I didn't say it was necessarily "evil."
Stupid, ill-conceived, and disastrous for the future of this country would be apt descriptions though.

Stupid, ill-conceived, and disastrous for the future of this country would be apt descriptions though So you are basically saying "family values" in general are stupid, ill-conceived, and disasterous for this country.
The original quote, "family values don't end at the Rio Grande".

Yes, that's exactly what I wrote when you accused me of misquoting El Presidente, if I'm not mistaken.

This reminds me of what the Muslims are doing to the citizens of France and Holland and other countries in Europe.
They get in illegally and then try to warp the laws to their advantage.
This makes me sick about the increases in foreign workers.

Can you imagine if that crowd decided to riot.. especially since they don't respect our Law to begin with. If the politicos don't wake up now they never will.

Fine. Let them come in legally or not at all. This is our nation. WE built it. WE own it. It is not theirs to steal. If they want to be Americans let them ask. We will decide. BTW the reason no one controls the borders is our overlords want the illegals to vote for them. Oh yeah, the can't vote...Right.

Yes, that's exactly what I wrote when you accused me of misquoting El Presidente, if I'm not mistaken Uh you had two quotes in your reply #86 of this thread, one of them fraudulent.
Yes, it is "Bush's fault."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it wasn't Tom Tancredo, or Lamar Smith, or James Sensenbrenner, or Pete Wilson who said "gee, you know what'll be a great idea, giving 12 million people whose first action on U.S. soil was breaking the law automatic citizenship."
Well anyway, the reply that shows your true nature is your reply #101 in that you basically think family values are in general stupid, ill-conceived, and disasterous for this country.

Uh no, your reply #86 had a fraudulent quote directed from President Bush.
That's not sarcasm, that's fraud.

jobs Americans won't do",
Of course Americans are not going to take a job working construction for below minimum wage because an illegal will.
Cut off the supply of illegals and wages will go higher and those jobs will be filled by Americans...prolly by black male Americans who could use a fair paying job.
