What's that got to do with Christianity?
Actually, A lot more than you might think. Christians have been associated with Bugs Bunny in cartoons for years. Bugs(Christians) continually outwits Yosemite Sam(Muslems) and Elmer Fudd(Jews) in various scenarios designed to elevate Christians over other religions. The Muslims are represented by Sam due to his proclivity for extreme violence at the slightest provocation and his cult-like insanity. Elmer is associated with Jews for no particular reason. So you can see where non Christians, especially Muslems, can be offended by wabbits as well as cartoons.
Next week we will deconstruct the use of Squirrels as a simulacrum for Protestants in the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

OK! So I’m getting so sick of these wackos!

Living Free in a free society means that everyone else has right to offend you; every minute of everyday, if you choose to take offense. Jeez, if I have a day in which I’m not offended by something or somebody; it’s the exception, not the rule.

I’ve personally known and been friends with Wiccans, Pagans, Buddhists, Atheists, Born Again Christians, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Mormans, (and even a couple of far left liberals) you name it.

In a society with freedom of speech, expression and religion, everyone has the right to express their opinions and beliefs and even preach to me. I in turn have just as much freedom to tell them I think they are full of sh*t. As a person endowed with Freewill and conviction of my own beliefs, I have nothing to fear from them. I choose to say “Thank you for sharing, I’ll take it under advisement” and move along.

I also go to far as to say that a public display; a Christmas tree or Manger in the town square is not an endorsement of any religion but an expression of the dominant culture.

If I lived in Israel, I would not demand that a Christian Cross be displayed along side every Menorah because Judaism is the predominate cultural and religious expression there.

Would this F’ing A-hole demand I take down the wreath on my door and candles in my windows of my own home every December because it might offend someone? F him.

I don’t even go to church or consider myself a believer, but I celebrate these holidays because it is part of my cultural heritage.

You’ll have to pry my Christmas tree and Easter Bunny out of my dead cold hands - you Bastard.

Sorry for the rant – I’m taking a nap know. I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

Or, we can just go back to the original name of the city.

Pig's Eye Landing, Minnesota

They'd better change the name of their city to Paul.

Or, even better, back to Saul!

LOL! Ludicrous, isn't it? It's all part of 'attack Christians at every excuse', I think. Christianity is the Left's worst enemy because Christianity says we are individually responsible for our choices; Christianity says "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's", which means that Caesar (the state) plays a minor role in God's kingdom.

A small Easter display was removed from the City Hall lobby on Wednesday out of concern that it would offend non-Christians.

I am a Christian and I am offended by this moron's behavior. Howcome that doesn't count?

Because Christians are now considered to be a minority? One athiest trumps 100 Christians? I dunno, the world seems to be upsidedown now!

Ah, but you are a Christian! That means you are inferior and should know your place and keep your mouth shut.

The Lefty/liberals have been getting away with this sort of thing for years -- from a pinnacle of supposed superiority they sneer at people who don't believe exactly as they do. And an awful lot of people cringe and change their behavior in order to be 'acceptable'. There even are Christians who water down their beliefs or are careful not to talk about them, just so they won't have to endure the scorn and contempt.

You state for all the world to see "I am a Christian"....you are a brave, brave soul!

I'm Jewish, and I've gotta tell you, never, at any time, has a Christian symbol bothered me or offended me. In fact, the word OFFENDED is offensive. So in saying you're been wronged, you wrong another religion. It's just horrible.

Everybody knows the Easter Bunny died for our sins and is venerated by Christians around the world.

And on Easter, the bunny pushes aside the Rock of the Tomb and looks around; if he sees his shadow, there's six more weeks of winter.
