Very true. In the 2004 election, tossing out the Bay Area would have barely given Bush the state. Of course, that's a heck of a lot of votes. But it does say something for the rest of the state.

Unfortunately, California is becoming so swamped with illegal immigrants that it's probably gone permanently blue. No telling how many of them are voting in the elections, either.
