Tom Cruise Furniture-Hops Again In Sunnyvale Visit (Guest Speaker for Yahoo)
CBS5 ^ | Mar 24, 2006

Posted on 03/24/2006 6:33:30 PM PST by nickcarraway

When it comes to furniture and his love for Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise just can't help himself.

The megastar was the guest of honor at Yahoo's quarterly "Influential Speakers" event Tuesday at the company's headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif., bantering with chief executive Terry Semel and answering questions from the crowd.

After an impromptu arm-wrestling match with Semel, Cruise jestingly recreated his "Oprah" sofa-hopping episode, this time on a chair, to trumpet his joy about his fiancee and their soon-to-arrive offspring. Then he brought the very pregnant Holmes onto the stage, where he beamed and patted her round belly.

And, yes, he then sealed the interlude with a kiss.

Holmes' pregnancy was announced in early October. The couple, who have been dating since April, became engaged in June. Cruise has said he didn't know if the baby is a boy or a girl. He has two children, Connor, 10, and Isabella, 12, from his marriage to Nicole Kidman. It will be the first child for 26-year-old Holmes.

After Cruise and Holmes went public with their relationship in April, smooching and posing for photographers in Rome, many doubted the romance — the words "publicity stunt" have rained down on the couple like an alien invasion.

Recently, both Cruise and Holmes denied a Valentine's Day report on the Life & Style magazine Web site, which claimed Cruise and Holmes had split up and called off their wedding.

TV's "Inside Edition" broadcast the happy event Thursday night.

Anyone else see the pic of Katie with sores all around her mouth? It was on one of the supermarket tabloids last week. They're both too sickening for words.

The comedy channel's South Park aired the Super Adventurers club and the death of Chef last night. The main theme was that members of the Super Adventurers club were globe trotting child molesters. Is this an accurate portrayal of the Scientology community?

Steve Martin's Mind Head portrayal in Bowfinger was absolutely hilarious and seemed more accurate a portrayal of the silly mindless brainwashing that happens in Hlllywood cults.
