Great "dose", friend.
Thank you.
I really liked that Q & A the other day carried on C-span where someone asked President Bush how best to help him and he replied, "Support the troops."
"Yes, sir!" I replied and went back to the warehouse in my guest bedroom to pack some more care packages.
The decor this week is DVD movies and Easter candy.
We had a male dog once and he had a wonderful personality
Night Mike, I am about to post a photo of me in my Dick Cheney teeshirt check it out tomorrow

Glad it arrived
"Indeed so... I'm not much of a Larry King fan, but he treats Mrs. Bush with decorum and respect it looks like, as one would handle fine, beautiful china that you don't want to break."
Perfectly said.
Man! I'm from Indiana and that guy sure is ugly compared to our handsome POTUS!
That's a neat T shirt.
I LOVE that T-shirt!!
Wow! Our beloved 1st lady looks awesome in green!
Does anyone know when (if) C-span is going to show the Grid Iron Dinner?
My husband kept laughing over that one excerpt he saw of President Bush's remark, "The way the press has carried on about the Vice President this week, you'd have thought he shot someone."
Hi Snugs.
I sure like/agree with your t-shirt!

NOT EVEN CLOSE
By Ralph Peters
March 24, 2006 -- IF surgeons wielded scalpels as carelessly as to day's journalists misuse language, the mortality rate in our hospitals would soar. The latest example of this deadly abuse of terminology was the media's declaration of "civil war" in Iraq.
It was the equivalent of describing vandalism as genocide. The blaze faded, only to be reignited briefly by former Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's statement last weekend that Iraq was in a civil war - a claim he swiftly retracted, to the disappointment of anchormen and -women everywhere.
Allawi wants to be prime minister again - although his country's voters rejected him - and he was playing the fear card. It backfired: Iraqi leaders from virtually every faction denounced his claim, and the former PM, once seen as a muscular leader, was outed as just another political hack.
Nonetheless, the next time Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Islamist Klansmen bomb a religious site, we'll hear yet again that Iraq's really, really in a civil war this time (cross our little hearts and hope for headlines).

HARD POUNDING
Who will keep his nerve?
By Victor Davis Hanson
If I could sum up the new orthodoxy about Iraq, it might run something like the following: I supported the overthrow of the odious Saddam Hussein. But then the poor postwar planning, the unanticipated sectarian strife and insurrection, the mounting American losses, the failure to find weapons of mass destruction all that and more lost my support. Iraq may or may not work out, but I can see now it clearly wasnt worth the American effort.
Aside from the old rehash over disbanding the Iraqi army or tardiness in forming a government, three observations can be made about this readjustment in belief.

LAY OFF BUSH: HE'S A CONSERVATIVE
by Rabbi Aryeh Spero
Posted Mar 23, 2006
President Bush is receiving too much criticism from our side complaining he is not conservative. Using the historic criteria, he is conservative enough for me.
. . . During Reagan's two terms, conservatives would implore those surrounding Reagan to "let Reagan be Reagan." The feeling was that Reagan was at times not acting conservatively because his inner circle was shielding him from important facts or obstructing him from acting the way he truly would have wanted. We now know that Reagan was always Reagan. Even the most conservative President knows the limitations to total implementation of any philosophy, no matter how correct and noble. The presidency is no different than any other category of life where reality reigns among even the most philosophically strong.
Though his polls are at what they call "a low point," the President has not made any attempt to refashion long-held principles in an effort to regain popularity and create a rise in his numbers. I am astounded and heart-warmed by this man's ability to stay the course during this time of war and to choose principle over popularity. I respect him for that.
To me -- a Conservative first and Republican second -- it is beyond doubt that George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Andrew Card and even Condi Rice constitute the most conservative administration -- and vocally so -- we have ever seen, and one stronger and more resolute than even that of Ronald Reagan. It remains Conservative even in its second term.
. . . when it comes to inner steel, I think Bush has ingot loads, as well as a heart with firm muscle. He is a terrific sheriff. That's why I have my synagogue make a special blessing for him, every Sabbath at 12 pm -- at High Noon.

LOVE THE T-SHIRT!!
Hope he has a better fate than ours did
"Does anyone know when (if) C-span is going to show the Grid Iron Dinner?"
It's my understanding that the Gridiron Dinner is officially 'closed' to the press (including C-Span cameras) . . . Of course, the press still manages to leak most of what happens at the Dinner!
Time for basketball, reading, basketball, laundry and basketball -- FOR THE PRESIDENT'S SAKE, I'M VERY HAPPY THAT TEXAS WON THEIR SWEET SIXTEEN GAME LAST NIGHT (ON A LAST SECOND 3-POINTER NO LESS)!!!
Night all!
