The Weekend Preview Thread is up
If you would like on or off my ping list please Freepmail me
The most interesting guest to me is Condi Rice. How badly will they edit the interviews when they show the clips on the news?
The dominant meme appears to be that Bush has failed in Iraq, the GOP is running away from him, but Bush is so unpopular that the Republicans are doomed in November anyway. And the Bush administration/conservatives/fascists/blogs are trying to blame the messenger for the bad news out of Iraq, but they're just doing their jobs and they never get anything wrong.
I will probably still be light on this and the Sunday thread. I'm still having trouble with my eyes. I've moved up my appointment with my surgeon to this Saturday, the 25th, instead of waiting for the 8th. I'm hoping that he can help me so that I can function with just the right eye till it's time to try to fit some correction to the left eye. I'm really hoping that he's not going to tell me that the keratoconus is advancing rapidly and that's why I can't focus and read with that eye. AND THE SOAP OPERA CONTINUES
You think you're tired of this? Imagine how my boss feels? Imagine how I feel? I really don't want to have to offer lame excuses anymore.
I count on others to carry the load again this week. I shall return... I hope...!
on a separate note, may I recommend this thread to anyone who hasn't seen it:

Edited on 03/24/2006 1:31:56 PM CST by Jim Robinson. [history]Now hear this:
Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.
That is all.
The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political
freespeech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.Carthago delenda est
The Afghani Christian may be a point of discussion, as a Bush "failure" in that "we" installed the government that isn't up in arms about the prospect of executing a person due to his conversion from Islam to Christianity. Note that the WH will be asking Congress for $$$ for Afghanistan activities, later this week.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will be hitting on the NSA Terrorist Surveillance Program in hearings again this coming week (Tuesday), and Feingold's censure resolution on Friday. In that vein, I expect a meme on the order of "Bush is a lawbreaker."
As you point out, Iraq and predictions of impending doom there is nearly a certainty, these days.
I sure don't know what Fox News Sunday is thinking lately...last week they had Durbin and no Rep. Senator to balance him...
This week, they have Levin, with no Republican Senator to balance him...
I am gonna complain now...looks like a trend that I don't like...
It would be different if every other week they had a single Rep.
Wow early start!

Great transcript and great story about the woman who spoke up at Bush's town hall meeting and her husband just back from Iraq. Maybe we're breaking through?
Excellent!! Thanks for all your hard work. Believe me, it is greatly appreciated.
