The most interesting guest to me is Condi Rice. How badly will they edit the interviews when they show the clips on the news?

The dominant meme appears to be that Bush has failed in Iraq, the GOP is running away from him, but Bush is so unpopular that the Republicans are doomed in November anyway. And the Bush administration/conservatives/fascists/blogs are trying to blame the messenger for the bad news out of Iraq, but they're just doing their jobs and they never get anything wrong.

I will probably still be light on this and the Sunday thread. I'm still having trouble with my eyes. I've moved up my appointment with my surgeon to this Saturday, the 25th, instead of waiting for the 8th. I'm hoping that he can help me so that I can function with just the right eye till it's time to try to fit some correction to the left eye. I'm really hoping that he's not going to tell me that the keratoconus is advancing rapidly and that's why I can't focus and read with that eye. AND THE SOAP OPERA CONTINUES

You think you're tired of this? Imagine how my boss feels? Imagine how I feel? I really don't want to have to offer lame excuses anymore.

Thanks to John McCain, Free Republic will shut down tomorrow at high noon for 30 days. No non government approved electioneering messages may be transmitted over the internet for the 30 days immediately preceding a primary election.
That is all.

The above exercise was just a drill. But if John McCain has his way with his proposed rules for regulating political ~~free~~ speech on the internet, this is how we will be forced to operate in the coming election cycle and all election cycles in the future until we can get the unconstitutional McCain-Feingold act repealed.

Who knows what the Republicans in DC are thinking. For the most part, those guys are too out to lunch for most Republicans in Red State America.

From a sales standpoint, it's a valid tactic to get the buyer to commit to a position. For example, when a buyer says the price is too high the salesman will ask if this is the only objection preventing him from buying? In other words, if the price were lower would you buy then, or is there another reason to not buy? Once the prospect buys into the one single objection, the salesman has the opportunity to overcome it and close the sale. If the buyer fails to buy once the bought-into objection is resolved, the buyer is exposed to the lie of his original objection.

The same way, Democrats make claims and we have to hold them accountable for their positions or the current Bush Lied De Jur. Republicans have not held Harry Reid and other Democrats accountable for their past accusiatons, and they now believe they can make claims without responsibility. IF this is a procedure to make Democrats accountable, great. If not, it will further alienate Republicans from our DC leadership.

I heard Chris Wallace on with Mike Gallagher this morning, and he said one thing he would tackle with Condi is the Muslim in Afghanistan, Mr. Rahman, that is supposed to be given the death penalty for being a Christian..

So....that subject could be hit by all of the Sunday Hosts...

Also...like you pointed out, the immigration reform will be hugh.

But, Levin just got back from Iraq, so we know he will talk about how AWFUL it is over there.

I wish this internet campaign bill that is supposed to be voted on...Jeb Hensarling in the House has the GOOD one...would come up as a subject, because it really affects we freepers..

PLUS, I am tired of hearing how "Bush lied, people died"...unless they want to give equal time to the documents that have shown just how much interaction there was between Saddam and Bin Ladin..

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer will chat with... oh, gawd... Ted Kennedy. He'll also have on National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, so Ted won't have time to contribue too many greenhouse gases, melting the polar shelf or whatever.
This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos has Tom Tancredo and Alren Specter on to swap immigration plans.
Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer will talk to Rice, plus he'll have Pat Roberts square off against Jack Reed.

Secretary Rice. This is part of the White House offensive on Iraq, as is Hadley. Why Levin (FNS) and Ted (FTN)? Perhaps the Dems' A-squad of articulation was busy This would explain Reed, as well.
Steph, in search of a viewer or two, is going a different route this weekend, and immigration is a big deal at the moment. I doubt Snarlin' Arlen will buy into a proposal to build a giant dungeon under Colorado's Elbert County to House the illegal aliens who aren't shot, but the discussion might be interesting. I will post the review of these shows by 2p ET Sunday afternoon.

I find it bizarre that even someone like Kilmer from a conservative blog finds it necessary to imply that Tancredo wants to either shoot or throw all immigrants into some sort of dungeon. This could be a defining moment for him with a chance to break past the caricatures... or not.

RedState has been very low volume today because of the WaPo conservative blog scandal involving one of their founders apparent acts of plagerism. They happened when he was 17 to 21, but he's only in his mid 20s now, so it's pretty damaging. He's resigned from the WaPo blog and will probably have to start all over again to build a whole new career.
