Saddam General: Newsweek Translation of Saddam Tapes Wrong
The Reality Check ^ | March 23, 2006 | Jim Kouri, CPP

Posted on 03/24/2006 5:32:03 AM PST by Kaslin

Former Iraqi Air Force Gen. Georges Sada claims that Newsweek's translation of some of Saddam Hussein's tapes is wrong. Newsweek reported that the Saddam tapes include statements that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Speaking on Fox News Channel, General Sada said that the tapes were not translated correctly and his translation is that Saddam Hussein did have WMD. Why would Newsweek publish an erroneous story? Sada believes they used unqualified translators who confused Arab dialects. Others believe Newsweek may have a vested interest in perpetuating the story that Iraq had no WMD.

General Sada also says that chemical or biological weapons were flown to Syria in 56 flights, but was unable to confirm it.

General Sada's allegations are confirmed by others. A Pentagon official, John A. Shaw, who was responsible for keeping track of Iraq’s weapons programs, claims that special Russian troops in civilian clothes supervised the transfer of Saddam’s WMDs into Syria. An Israeli general, Moshe Yaalon, has made a similar claim. The general in charge of Pentagon spy satellites has admitted observing large truck convoys from Iraq to Syria before the war began.

Yet most of the 2 million documents have not been explored or even translated. It’s almost as if the CIA and the Pentagon don’t want to know what they contain.

According to the Boston Herald, the CIA’s clandestine war against the White House means the agency cannot be trusted for an honest account of what’s in this material.

Many believe that Congress should make sure that an independent body, with no ax to grind, checks the documents and releases every last one that can be made public safely.

Saddam has been saying in public that he has NOT had WMD since 1990. Finding an audio where he states that or a document where he states that, is NOT even news. What is news are documents or audios where he states he HAD them or MADE them. If Saddam had been telling the public the truth, there should be NO documents or audios where he states he HAD or MADE WMD. Unfortunately for the MSM and its followers, we have found them. Some are excerpted and posted on FreeRepublic. In the documents translated on Leavenworths site so far either Saddam or someone in his presence has admitted the following.

Iraq Produced Biological Weapons
Iraq Produced Chemical Weapons
Iraq had an Extensive Nuclear Program
Iraq used Chemcial WMD on Kurds
Iraq used Chemical WMD on Iranians
Iraq Concealed Info from the UN
Iraq Lied to the UN
Iraq Stalled the UN

And that is within just the first couple hundred documents.

Was the CIA always this pathetic? Or is this a rather recent occurrence?

It wasn't long ago that Newsweek (Isikoff) was reporting the Muslim Brotherhood was dead. And then there were elections in Egypt and the West Bank/Gaza that proved the organization was alive and kicking.

It is only a matter of time until these documents reveal the names of CIA, DOD, Congressmen, State Department officials and U.S. businessmen who were complicit in Saddam's reign of terror. Of course there is no institutional interest in translating these documents.

Gee, Sarge, do ya' think Newsweak would "mistakenly" misinterpret documents that show the Bush Administration was right? We here know they were correct in launching into Iraq, because we have knowledge the MSM doesn't through legwork literally worldwide. This is in keeping with the MSM's near-orgasmic drive to discredit and undermine GWB, as a mouthpiece for the DNC and the democrat party.

Fox might mention something.

Steve Doocy was talking about the released Iraqi documents this morning and mentioned a US Army website where some of the translated documents can be viewed. I failed to write down the address, but it had something to do with Army Foriegn studies or something to that affect.

Anybody else see this and have a link?

Actually, I believe two Britains are named in one document I downloaded from the Leavenworth site. They are referred to as Iraqi friendly journalist if memory serves me right. I wont post their names here however.

Between the America haters buried in our institutions by the likes of Carter and Clinton and the America haters opening rooting against America in the media, we need to be praying more than ever for divine intervention.

The deck is stacked against us and our soldiers need our support.
