Isn't it a mainstay of Republican ideology that the best government is limited government? Isn't the veto a critical part of preventing the growth of government? Clinton used the veto 38 times. Many of those instances were the direct result of excessive expenditures of taxpayer dollars in the bill vetoed. It's true, believe it or not. What does that say about GW? What's the new debt ceiling? 20 TRILLION? Is that right? I'm beginning to believe we've been hoodwinked....not that the RATS are right, 'cause they're not. No...I think this is from another direction totally.

Spot on observations. And the GOP has indeed betrayed its platform of fiscal responsibility. Pandering for votes was the culprit.
I do believe the stated debt is a bit less though.
