When Diana Irey wins the election and sends Murtha packing, the Dems will have lost!

The truly ironic point is that Joe Lieberman could win the Presidency if he were the Democrat nominee. However, the Democrat party has been taken over by the left wing raving lunatics and they would never nominate Joe Lieberman.

"Democrats Can Win Only If America Loses"

Bumper sticker?

Seriously, the Democrats empower our enemies to keep up the pressure because they see a chance of us folding up our tents and going home. The MSM empowers them also. Wonder how many young soldiers we have lost because of these people.

Good post.

Democrats and terrorists both lose.

Freedom-loving Americans look to and plan for the future, thanks to the armed services, their families and friends, and 70+ million voters and their families and friends.

Murtha should resign. Any old fart who has the nerve to say that our ARMY is broken is obviously off his rocker. I would like to know who the DOD people are who are briefing him on how terrible our troops are doing. This entire Intel group he claims to have is a figment of his very old imagination. Time for old John to throw on the feedbag and walk on out to the pasture.

I was born and spent my childhood in Washington and then, in the 1940's, my mother was close friends with the editor of this newspaper. I've since moved many times and have only one livng relative in that area, but still, it's good to know the place hasn't turned to mush.

I agree with what you say, but I am always very disgusted when people bring up Lieberman like he's some kind of saint, or a man of conscience (not that you have done that, really).

That sonovab*tch Lieberman threw his lot and soul in with the Evil Bill Clinton for the 2000 election. He did it purposefully, trying his best to continue that legacy of evil by kneeling to Bill Clinton and sucking his teensy little ****, just like Monica Lewinski herself!

Lieberman will NEVER regain his soul or credibility in my eyes, or get any sympathy or respect from me. EVER! He is a despicable Clinton b*tch, and guess what? Ya can't un-suck that thing, Joe, so may you enjoy your legacy forever!

We've got our share of moonbats around here, but there's an upturn in the local economy, and good jobs are coming back so the conservatives are slowly gaining ground.President Bush carried my borough in 2004.

Thanks for recognizing I am not putting him up for sainthood. My comment was more about the depths to which the DemonicRat party has sunk to.

That's good to hear.

I lived 2 doors down from the Washington Hospital (Locust and Wilson).

What borough are you in?

East Maiden Avenue used to be really beautiful with large mansions, big trees and a wide street. Is it like that now?

We've lived around here about ten years. The homes are still beautiful, and well cared for. I've heard stories about the trees.

Apparently some time ago, I'm not clear exactly, but I believe it was the 70's, some kind of elm disease got to the trees that lined the steet and the borough had to cut them all down.

But all the yards still have large beautiful trees, and lawns are lush. There's great soil here, and in the summer my wife grows some of the best tomatoes to be found anywhere.
