While the earth's mag field is flipping, it may have two north poles and no south pole. We are not dealing with a couple of scotty magnets.

Dam, and I just got a new compass for my boat. I guess I'll just have to look at it in a mirror.

I was listening to some fruitloop on Art Bell last week. The magnetic flip is a known fact but this nutjob says the whole planet will flip.
Stranger still was the fact that he didn't seem to think that a physical flip of the entire planet would be as dangerous as the magnetic flip.

Cop: What are you saying?
Fenster: I said he'll flip you.
Cop: He'll what?
Fenster: Flip you. Flip ya for real.

One of the most fascinating natural phenomena on Earth is the flipping of its magnetic field, which has occurred hundreds of times in the last 160 million years.I hate it when that happens.

I have noticed the same thing with several different guests. Seems to be a common misconception with people who have no grasp of natural science/physics and the hosts that interview them.

Well let us hope, that when it flips, it will flip the ThugoRats into honest, decent people and flip the Repubs into real conservatives.
I wait anxiously --- :-)

GPS should be fine as it doesn't rely on magnetic north like a compass.
To: SpaceBar
Art Bell is just fine, he interviews nuts for fun and profit I think. I know he was laughing at that one.

Are the Carolinas and the Dakotas gonna have to swap first names? Are the guys in Alabama gonna have to start saying "Save yer Confederate money, boys, the North shall rise again"? Are my terlits gonna start swirling another direction? C'mon, man, these articles never address the important stuff...

Bush is causing the magnetic pole flip to benefit his cronies at Halliburton and DP World.

Be interesting to apply these statistical methods to analyze Bell's history of retiring and coming back - to see if it's random or there's some pattern.
