Just look for the pattern of violence over time and don't be awe-struck at any one moment. It has been the same for thousands of years. Read history as in Greece, Rome, 12th century Spain and Europe. The CH'ing Dynasty. Battle of the Bulge in WW2. Death camps all over the planet from Europe to Asia over time. They're over.
We are the same as we were 5-7 thousand years ago. Human nature hasn't changed in that long and it won't change. So it's predictable what will happen. It's very simple this way. Violent acts are the death-throes of ideologies.
