Jordan's ruler: Aid to Palestinians must continue - now more than ever
AlArab Online
Jordan's king, Abdullah II King Abdullah II of Jordan was in Paris this week for talks with French President Jacques Chirac. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is nominally a constitutional monarchy, but in practice, Abdullah is no mere figurehead like his royal peers in the remaining monarchies of Europe. Instead, the young king commands his country's military, appoints the holders of its most important political offices, and has his hands in all aspects of Jordan's domestic and foreign policy-making. In the Arab world, Jordan is a regular recipient of generous handouts of U.S. foreign aid.
Thus, when young Abdullah speaks, Washington tends to listen. The main subject on the monarch's Paris agenda was financial aid to the new, Hamas-led government of the Palestinian Authority. Abdullah told Chirac that he had been in contact with various countries that, to date, had been aiding the Palestinians and that he had urged them to continue their support. While the king was in France, Jordan's leading, national charity "dispatched a 27-truck convoy loaded with 400 tons of essential food supplies to the Palestinians, who are suffering from a severe shortage" of staple goods. Meanwhile, as Abdullah was beginning his Paris visit, the European Union was in the process of delivering a $78 million contribution to the United Nations agency that assists Palestinian refugees. That amount represents "half of a one-off, emergency [aid] deal" the E.U. nations had agreed last month to provide. This assistance "is meant to prevent the collapse of the Palestinian Authority after Israel cut off about $50 million a month in tax revenues it collects for the Palestinians."

More pointedly, both on the eve of his France trip and in comments made after his talks with Chirac, Abdullah emphasized that serious efforts must be made to speed up the peace-making process leading to the establishment of an independent Palestine. "As for the creation of a viable, independent state, I'm worried," the king told Le Monde. "Two years from now, if such a state has not emerged, there won't be anything to negotiate." If such an unfortunate scenario comes to pass, he added, "Nobody knows what the consequences for the region or for Jordan [might] be."

Translation: "I'm scared to death of these savages and if you don't pay their blackmail, they'll turn on me"
With all the money that has come from the EU and US over the years, you'd think that every Palestinian would be prosperous by now.
So write a check, Kingy. Don't come crying to ME.
Dear King Abdullah-lalalalalalalah,
Since you've got such a wasp in your britches about "aid for the Palestinians", wny don't you do the US a favor (since you allege you're our "friend") and start coughing up some bucks from your royal treasury so we regular American tax payers won't have our tax money being sent against our will to finance a bunch of thugs and fatten their bank accounts!!! Otherwise, Kingy, zip it!
Let Abdullah pay for it!
Oh if only all of the enemies of God's Chosen would have many bees in their britches - that would certainly keep them busy.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them!!!
Deu 33:28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
Deu 33:29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is] like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

I will bless those who bless you and the one who curses you I will curse.
Zechariah 12:8-9
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Looks like the King learned from his father's mistake -- he's not volunteering to take them in. If he's worried about HIS kingdom, let HIM pay the ransom. Screw the palesimians.
