(Baghdad) -- Three Christian aid workers kidnapped in Iraq have been freed following what's being described as "a planned operation mounted by the Multinational Forces in Iraq." The British Embassy has confirmed that Briton Norman Kember and two Canadian nationals -- Harmeet Sooden and Jim Loney are being evaluated by doctors and are currently in the care of consular staff. The three men were taken hostage along with a fourth member of the Christian Peacemaker Teams in late November. The body of Tom Fox, a native of Virginia, was recovered earlier this month in Baghdad.

What are the Vegas odds makers saying of the chances any of these numbnuts idiots will have the common sense to return home permanently?

I'd bet they will get back into the fray; maybe after a little R&R. They and their bullshit organization should be billed for every penny spent in finding and rescuing them.

If one American GI was injured or killed in the effort, everybody in sight should be prosecuted, and then sued out of business. Well, it is a good thought, but not possible in this PC world we live in.

So far details seem to be sketchy about hte actual operation. One version claims the trio was just sitting around...no guards...and the joint rescue team "stumbled" on them. It'll probably take a couple of days before we get the total story.

It raised my eyebrow, but only one, when they had to report the involvement of American and Iraqi forces in the 'release.'

Probably the captors ran like hell when they learned the boot was coming down.
