It could have sold for a pretty penny to China. They are voracious for iron and steel right now.

It is North Korean, they could only sell it for scrap, it would never meet any safety or environmental regulations.

You mean that ships other than those belonging to the American military are harmful to the environment? This does not compute.

Truly unfortunate that the captain and crew weren't given front row seats seats to the event.......like on the boat!

Indeed. I live about five miles from the Amberley RAAF base, home of the F-111 strike force, and let me tell you they are still an impressive bird to watch in the sky.

They've been busy of late, too - today, target practice for some, and aerial reconnaisance of the cyclone-ravaged parts of northern Queensland where Cyclone Larry hit on Monday.

Watching them zoom overhead this evening, on their way back to base, was impressive as always.

Erm, no. The heroin was removed beforehand, as were the crew (unfortunately).
