Re: Your attempt to shut down political free speech on the Internet
John McCain, you treasonous bastard, I challenge you or any of your traitorous cohorts to find even one thread, one post, one paragraph, one sentence or even one lousy word posted to this web site that is not fully protected by the First Amendment!
And I will extend that to one chapter, one group, one poster or any group of posters on this forum. Name one assembly, petition, letter, protest, meeting or rally convened, filed, submitted, attended or supported by members of this forum that is not 100% protected and guaranteed as free speech or free assembly by the First Amendment!
Your McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform legislation is a treasonous act. You and your cohorts are attempting to subvert the Constitution of the United States of America, the very same constitution that you swore an oath to defend, so help you God! That makes you a domestic enemy of that great document and a traitor to your country. Yes, and Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he turned traitor too.
How dare you even think that you are qualified to sit in the oval office! Ronald Reagan's office! President? Hah! You miserable excuse for a two-bit political hack, you're not even qualified to shine Ronald Reagan's boots. If you do run, I'm afraid you're gonna be at least one vote short. It'll be a cold day in hell before a traitor like you ever receives my vote. And that's a campaign promise you can take to the bank.
You can take your fascist campaign finance laws and the jackbooted FEC anti-free-speech enforcers you are empowering and put them where the sun don't shine. And if this post is in violation of your unconstitutional law, shove it too!
Paraphrased from In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed:
The Beast never dies, it simply changes form. The Beast has known many forms: Bolshevism, communism, Nazism, fascism. The Beast has had many names: Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Tojo, Mao, Pol Pot.
The Beast cannot co-exist with freedom. The very first freedom lost is the freedom of speech, then religion, knowledge and the arts. Anything that empowers the individual must be destroyed. The state must control all.
Power to the state.
Power as an end to itself.
Those who speak out against the Beast are labeled extremists, radicals, warmongers. Churchill, McCarthy, Reagan.
The Beast must be contained, appeased. We must have "Detente" at any cost. Direct confrontation of the Beast must be avoided.
Appease him and pray the wolf may pass our door.
Free speech must die.
The Beast never dies.
They believe him when he states that CFR is to remove the money from politics. It "sounds" good to people. People vote for candidates they LIKE and think are looking out for them and their interests.
McCain is trusted on national security issues and although we don;t like his domestic stands and horrid assualts on the 1st Amendment, few people follow this stuff closely. They like him.
THAT is a fact and it's proven by his war chest of megatons of money and by all the polls thus far.
ENJOY and know I am envious but thrilled for you.
Ditto for Howlin (I will speak for her just this once)!
You are a blatant liar.
You prove that my statement is correct.
Here's something that will make it easier to deal with the most vociferous puritans who slam GOP candidates and threaten to stay home or vote 3rd party:
ALWAYS check to see where they reside. MOST are from SOLID blue states where their presidential votes won't matter one iota! Let them vote 3rd party and hope that they have enough sense to vote GOP in the congressional races.
Let me pour more gasoline onto the fire. Let me recount when I first realized that McCain was a traitor.
Bill Clinton, while President, nominated a man named Anthony Lake to be the Director of the CIA. I read some pretty bad things about Lake in a number of conservative magazine. Lake had written a great many things, including about his desire to dismantle the United Stated intelligence community. He had strong ties with various Marxist organizations. He was a fox about to be put in the hen house. It did not surprise me that Clinton would nominate such a person to such a sensitive position.
Then, John McCain came out very vocally in SUPPORT of Anthony Lake. He went so far as to have an Op Ed published in the New York Times and he sent a "Dear Colleague" letter to every Senator endorsing Clinton nominee Anthony Lake.
I called McCain's office and talked to a number of staffers and tried to get them information about Lake's unworthiness for a position of so much trust. They were rude and didn't want to address the issue.
Then, McCain came out and introduced Clinton nominee Anthony Lake to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at the start of the confirmation hearings. This was the strongest endorsement you could give a nominee and it was McCain endorsing a leftist Clinton nominee with ties to Marxist organizations who had sworn to destroy the U.S. intelligence community. Who ever heard of a Republican Senator being the one to give such a strong endorsement to a Clinton nominee to anything!? I was livid, but it was too late and McCain had done all the damage that he could.
I wasn't through with the issue yet and I vowed to hand McCain a defeat.
I went to work gathering proof of the charges that Lake had strong ties to various Marxist groups and had made some very radical statements about his intentions in re: the intelligence community. Luckily, my other Senator, Sen. Jon Kyl, was on the committee. I had one of the magazines that had published some of the articles about Lake use their background notes and information, photocopies of documents, etc to put together a rock solid dossier exposing Lake. I had it copied and placed in bright orange envelopes and FedEx'd to every member of the Intel committee. Over the Internet, I worked with several people over the Internet (Usenet) to get on the phones with each of the Republican members of the committee and have them look for and then read the dossier.
My target was Kyl's office and I called a couple of times a day. The hearings weren't going extremely well for Lake, but no one doubted that Lake was going to make it through to confirmation. Then, one day, I called Kyl's office and their whole demeanor changed. They were thrilled I had called and said that they had found the dossier. They said that I would be pleased to know that they had written a new line of questioning along the lines of the information that I'd had sent to them. I asked if Sen. Kyl was going to ask the questions and they said that they could not guarantee it. They said, however, that they were going to float the questions to the Republican members of the committee and that it was probably that someone would pick up on them if Kyl didn't.
A few days later I received a call from a Kyl staffer. He said that I should not believe what I was about to hear in the media. Lake had withdrawn his name from consideration and it was NOT because of his stated need to be with his family (how cliche...) it was because Sen. Shelby, the committee chair, had just subpoenaed some people who could testify to the information in the dossier. According to the staffer, Lake withdrew his nomination because he knew that he was going down if the committee started looking into this. The staffer thanked me profusely. I received a call from the conservative magazine who had helped by putting together the dossier at my request and they were having a "Bon Voyage" party for Anthony Lake. They put me on the speaker phone so that I could celebrate with them.
I handed McCain a defeat and I intend to hand him another one - his own. I've known for years that he was a traitor and I've opposed him ever since. He must be stopped.
Or worse. A democrat and a Marxist.
Your posts in this thread say otherwise.
Here's the one I find to be the most pertinent: "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards. On the road to tyranny, we've gone so far that polite political action is about as useless as a miniskirt in a convent. But most people are still standing around numb and confused, knowing something's wrong with the country, but hoping it isn't quite as bad as they're beginning to suspect it is."
Whatever one may think of our fedral government today, there is one thing that is rarely disputed any more--it can no longer be trusted by the American people.
Exactly.
McCain-Finegold was a major assault on the First Amendment rights of all Americans, and you say "...it is not that bad"
Incredible...
F I N A L L Y!
LOL!
That's because I have a scrumptuous gourmet meatloaf in the oven, created from scratch.
Rock on, Jim Rob!
Think: the party-above-principle GOP/RNC Big Tent is at it again. And there are plenty of them right here on FR.
How principled is it, Czar, to HELP democrats win?
McCain is a decent politician - if there really can ever be such a thing.
