Has San Francisco become a city run by gays for gays? Have they become the majority or are they abetted by an ultra-liberal lunatic fringe? I'm just curious as to why the city has sunk so far. I wonder what it is like to be a cop in SF.
A great many of them are gay too. I don't think it's anything close to a majority, but the force assiduously recruits homosexuals and lesbians.

I was just there and all their sirens sound like whining crybabies: Whaaa! Whaaa!
Hippies move in attracted by the huge volumes of drugs coming through the port and a large music scene. Families with kids move out to avoid their kids getting caught up in the drug culture, gays buy homes from said families in the early to mid 70s at low prices, making the town the gay capital of America. Nothings changed since except the real estate has gotten more expensive and the politics nuttier.
