I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet that a records check in Redmond, WA will prove this guy is a registered liberal.
They know what's best for everyone.
If I were Steve Jobs I'd sue the guy for defamation, and offer to withdraw the suit if Stephen Toulouse-- or anyone at Microsoft-- could hack OSX. And sweeten it with $1 million cash.

I havta wonder how secure OSX would be if it had as many people trying to hack it as Microsoft does.

we cannot ship our OS. this is not a joke. if we don't take some radical decisions, the company is over. Now that's grim!

I seem to recall that Apple's biggest investor was Microsoft (1997 $150 Million). If Jobs has any brains at all, he'll shut up and continue doing whatever his Redmond WA overlords tell him to do.

"Look, the only way you can tackle security issues is by getting out ahead of them and clearly communicating to your users the threat, and the clear guidance on how to be safe," --Microsoft lackey said. That's from Microsoft?
That is the funniest damn thing I've read in a long long time.

I seem to recall that Apple's biggest investor was Microsoft (1997 $150 Million). If Jobs has any brains at all, he'll shut up and continue doing whatever his Redmond WA overlords tell him to do. This is untrue. While Microsoft did indeed purchase about $150 million of Preferred Shares, they were non-voting. They purchased them pursuent to a settlement agreement drawn up between Apple and Microsoft... in which Apple WON.
At the time, Apple had $2 BILLION in cash in the bank.
Microsoft had to agree to continue producing and supporting MS Office for Mac for an additional five years, Microsoft had to LICENSE certain technologies from Apple for which Apple would buy the preferred stock, Apple would have to license said technologies to Microsof, and Apple would have to withdraw their lawsuit. The largest stockholders in Apple are CalPers and some other institutional organizations.

I wonder if this is an attempt to deflect attention from M/S delaying the release of Vista, yet again. Point the finger at Apple and claim they are the one's in trouble. Either that or it's pure M/S arrogance.
