No, they claimed fluoride was a form of mind control, making people docile.

Let me get this straight -- drinking high levels of rat poison is bad for me?

"The high levels of fluoride that occur naturally in some drinking water can cause tooth and bone damage and should be reduced, the National Research Council said Wednesday."
Seems mankind is once again saying God you did it wrong. Not that what naturally occurs is now bad for us and we need to clean up nature.

But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, communist subversion, and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.
To: RexBeach
I'm starting to see more and more of these fluoride threads.
Maybe we need a "precious bodily fluids" ping list. lol.

Say what you will, but I predict a study within the next five years that reports that we need more arsenic in our drinking water.

Not that what naturally occurs is now bad for us and we need to clean up nature.Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you've said here and I don't mean disrespect, but flouride does not "naturally" occur in drinking water in the levels that come out of your tap. It is added.

Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face?
On no account will a Commie ever drink water, and not without good reason.
Gen. Jack D. Ripper: |
- Have you ever seen a Commie drink a glass of water?
|
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: |
- Well, no, I can't say I have, Jack.

Hardly news as the effects of high naturally occuring flouride in drinking water has long been known. Too much fluoride actually causes tooth problems in the form of banding and yellow staining .. a few places out here on the tundra have this problem with their water and you can often tell where someone lived just by looking at their teeth.
There are also a few places with high level of lithium in their water ...now that tends to make people docile. Lithium carbonate is an effective treatment for certain kinds of mental illnesses like manic depression.

My koi pond got a small hole in it and we used the town water with fluoride to keep it filled until we could patch it. Our well pump had broke so we had no choice but to use town water. We even used the additive that they sell to add to town water for ponds. Woke up one morning to find all 40 of the koi floating and most half dead. They all ended up dying except for one pond goldfish. We had some of those kio for over 6 yrs and they would come right up to your hand to be fed. Now we have a filter on our water. I dont want the fluoride in my water.

Well, nothing to excess. Like the story of a politburo member who took the course of hypnosis treatment for his incontinence. The treatment was so successful that after it he wasn't able to urinate at all - and burst. ["Yawning Heights"]
