So when he gets some dreadful disease that will prove fatal unless he avails himself of some treatment made possible only by results of animal research, he *will* have the ethical courage to refuse the treatment, right?

This guy is dangerous. Instead of using animals, cut to the human trials and use him for the experiments, and others of his ilk.

start with him: I can see no better way for him to express his sincerity than by volunteering to be a test-to-destruction lab animal.

In the March 2006 issue of Abolitionist-Online, Vlasak is quoted as saying "Killing an animal abuser, who is not an innocent bystander, is morally defensible, and if they had the power to do so, animals would do it."
To: Coleus
There are morons and there are dangerous morons, Vlasak is of the latter variety.

This man is a stark, raving lunatic.
A surgeon should know very well that he could not do his job saving humans, without the drugs and techniques developed through animal experimentation.

Oh, and I should add that many of those same drugs and techniques would also not be available to the veterinarians who save the lives of animals.

OMG, I'd like to see how this guy changes his "mantra" if he or a loved one were diagnosed with some deadly disease. I'll wager to bet that he'd be down on his knees begging for some research treatment in order to give himself or them a fighting chance. Any human who places animal life on the same level as human...well he deserves his just desserts. Dr, here's hoping YOU never have to face a life threatening disease!....J/K

Animal rights activists like this guy should be tried and sentenced as traitors to their species. If he wants to defend animals at the expense of humans then he should have to face the consequences.
