One of the most persistent themes in Noam Chomsky's work has been class warfare. The iconic MIT linguist and left-wing activist frequently has lashed out against the "massive use of tax havens to shift the burden to the general population and away from the rich," and criticized the concentration of wealth in "trusts" by the wealthiest 1%. He says the U.S. tax code is rigged with "complicated devices for ensuring that the poor -- like 80% of the population -- pay off the rich."
But trusts can't be all bad. After all, Chomsky, with a net worth north of US$2-million, decided to create one for himself. A few years back he went to Boston's venerable white-shoe law firm, Palmer and Dodge, and, with the help of a tax attorney specializing in "income-tax planning," set up an irrevocable trust to protect his assets from Uncle Sam.............

It sounds like Howard Stern and his thing peddling filth on the radio. Anti-capitalism is just Noam's schtick. It's not meant to be taken seriously.
"Should I live in a cabin in Montana?"
Worked for your soulmate, the Unabomber, so why not, Noam?
Chomsky has always been about money and attention - almost nobody in the academy has taken the work he does in his day job (lingusitics research) seriously for decades.
A hypoctitical ass. And a typical leftist scumbag.
Academy? And what on earth is linguistic research?
What a pompous, hypocritical freaking jerk!
Don't forget that Chomsky is one of the darlings of the anti American left and has been instrumental in providing opposition talking points for, well, just about anything that the US does.
He still feels the loss of those cuddly Soviets on the world scene. I suspect, though, that even he might gag a little at the Islamofascists, although he sure works hard to cover it up.
typical limousine leftist. a small-scale Soros, a less grating (and better spelling) Babs.
"Should I live in a cabin in Montana?"
We see that Noam (coincidentally) is one of the important elites. HE isn't one of the great unwashed. We NEED him to be well rested, well taken care of, so he can decide what's best for us. His ideas are for the lesser people he cares so much about. You can't have the master living in the pen with the swine, don't ya know.
Thanks for the tagline, Dr. Chomsky.
bttt
Another fawning Carol Coleman interview, no doubt.
I think it was Prime Time - I'm not sure, it was repeat late at night. Wasn't Carole though - imagine two idiots like that together LOL!!
Chomsky is a Charlatan.
