Well, her defense attorney would have been doing his job in bringing those things out, distasteful as it might be. But that's not exactly what I meant by "getting her off".
I understood...just trying to keep to the facts....so to speak. Oh and taht woman who does Headline News stories at night had the "rumors" about the boy's background. It has been on TV. I was just flipping channels and saw the picture of the teacher and decided to ...um....er...get off.
