It's to announce the "Fred Barnes shuffle". Rumsfeld resigns, Cheney resigns but is nominated for Sec. of Def., Condi Rice is put forward for Senate confirmation as the new VP and Joe Lieberman is named Sec. of State.

Barnes was spouting that silliness on Fox and Friends this morning.

Pundits have been spouting it since halfway through GW's first term. They are as bad a retreading as Hollywood is with movie remakes.


If the GOP loses the House in 06, GW will have a whole new set of problems that will dog his remaining two years.
