Schiefer's a liberal, but he has been to the school of hard knocks. I think he appreciates honest, forthright answers from politicians he interviews. It was reported on the Sunday thread that his interview with VP Cheney went well, too. I know there's no hope for him, but there does appear to be respect, contrary to many of the younger interviewers that are nothing but confrontational.
He let Cheney answer the questions, unlike most leftists. Is this a characteristic of his? I don't usually watch his show. Even some of the press tried to go at President Bush with a second question today as soon as his answer was going where they didn't like.
