Assuming that this story is actually true, whoever felt it important to leak this just put this guy's life in a hell of a lot of danger.

I hope for his sake that he's well hidden and highly protected.

NBC wants everyone to think that this confirms there was no WMD and the CIA knew it but this actually confirms the opposite. He says there was no "significant" program but there was a program none the less. Saddam was years from acquiring a weapon but that pretty much verifies he had the desire. He then claimed there was "stockpiles" of weapons but turned out to be wrong. I think this could be considered high level verification so who cares if our intelligence was wrong.
