Iran has ambitions far greater than mere survival.

What are those ambitions?

More later but the short version involves putting you and the rest of us on our knees FIVE times a day.

He should go on tour with David Duke.

Former president Hamed Rafsanjani, the more "moderate" of the Presidential candidates, made it clear that the death of millions of Iranians was irrelevent in the distruction of the two satans.(Israel and the US)

Do you have any information supporting your assertion that the Iranian regime, all of whose leaders claim that their purpose is to create an Islamic Armageddon, are not willing to die?

One think we know about GW, he doesn't make statements that he doesn't back up. The Iranians should not take this lightly or they will parish. Amen.

The German rockets hitting England were crude first generation, the new ones would have been devastating, and their jets would have cleared the skies both east and west had development continued without American intervention.

I understand the area of the Soviet Union and the fact that the Tiger I and the earlier Panzers had treads that weren't as wide as the Soviet T-34 were a major reason for their bogging down during two unusually harsh winters (41-42). Also, the guns of the early panzers couldn't penetrate the armor of the Russian version. The Panther was the German answer to this problem. The Germans did a horrible job of supplying their troops with the appropriate winter clothing, food and fuel. The Russian army was supplied by food from the collective farms, worked by the peasants who were surviving on the Lend-Lease supplies. Also, the movement of Russian supplies was accomplished by US trucks and jeeps. The Russians were benefactors of the US-UK supplies. Heinz Guderian admitted that not taking Moscow would be their undoing. The technology of the rockets and jets that Germany was working on was still very young and the guidance was a big problem. They couldn't flatten the British spirit but they did a decent job of flattening large areas of British cities. The Kreigsmarine was incapable of supporting a large scale sea-borne invasion, mainly because Hitler didn't believe that a large navy was necessary. Hitler launched the war early in terms of war production and preparedness. I know the history of those famous warriors conquered by Russia but had the German army bagged Moscow, things could have gotten really hairy. But they didn't. I am quite intrigued by the Soviet military during the war and believe that man for man the Soviet soldier was a much tougher, hardened fighter.

The reason the Russians were able to build their tanks and supply their troops was the massive influx of American trucks and train locomotives and airplane fuel. Our moon rocket engines were copies of German designs, early Russian Migs were copies of German jets. The Red Army beat the Germans back with our help...We needed each other to defeat Hitler.

So the 400,000 heavy trucks didn't help Russian Army movement, the 2,000 train engines didn't transport Russian war material and troops? The discussion is not about the "fighting spirit" of the Russian people..

Ezekiel 38 & 39.

I saw an interesting news item recently on HAZMAT drills designed to police up the dead after a nuclear or biological attack. Apparently search crews upon identifying a body or body part will first set up a placard identifying said cadaver, making it easier for removal and burial teams to later find and police up said cadaver. As I saw this, Ezekiel's 38 and 39 leaped out...especially the verses describing the burial of the dead and the hiring of special persons who do this work...right down to the placing of the SIGNS! While it is said it is God that rains down fire upon Israel's attackers upon the mountains, the hazards presented from the bodies after such destruction hint at at least a God inspired terrestrial origin of such destruction....say a Spiritually aroused western co-alition of the Willing armed with tactical nukes...perhaps even neutron emitting weapons!

That verse "Art thou come for a spoil?" has often been interpreted as a sign of passivity of the other nations who are viewing this attack from Gog and Magog. But I keep re-reading it and perhaps that verse is really a statement of western arousal and opposition to the nations leading that attack...perhaps even knowing sarcasm...as if to say..."So you think you are going to invade Israel and the rest of the middle east to control the world's economy and get away with it do you? Well you have another thing coming!"(another words..."Art thou come for a spoil?")

And if my memory serves me, you were talking about melted Sherman tanks and the "peanuts" of Lend-Lease?

I think you are right, thank God... IT's best to ignore public polls and democrats... when you know what is at stake....and the president...

Bush is not running for anything.. therefore.. in his last year he can do whatever he damn well pleases with regard to US defense....

In some respects you are historically correct but you also sound like you follow the Lindbergh kool aid trail. Stay out of the other countries disputes.

The world is round, not flat so you cannot get to the other end without coming to the beginning or the starting point. Since this is the only place now to live and there are no other habitable planets, yet, doesn't it make sense to stop the situation before it gets totally out of hand?
