03-20) 08:10 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- As many as 75 protesters are gathered at an intersection in downtown San Francisco this morning, promising "acts of civil disobedience" to mark the third anniversary of the Iraq war and to denounce the Bush Administration's policies. The protesters, calling themselves Act Against Torture, are gathered outside the offices of Sen. Dianne Feinstein at Montgomery and Market streets. A large contingent of San Francisco police is standing by, and some of the protesters are threatening to block the intersection.

75??? That many? Wow!
Of course, the way the media will portray the event will make it appear that there are thousands at the protest.. they probably will pan their cameras across the hippies to make it look like all the normal Market St. traffic is actually part of the protest...
WOW!!!, 75? Oh, that's because Cindy didn 't show up with her big crouds..... right?
Please tell me you weren't going to Starbucks! LOL

Probably about fifty of them are carrying press credentials. The rest are wondering if somebody's giving away something free.
And in San Fransisco no less!
"As many as" That means they were counting people walking by, the press, dogs, sparrows, manhole covers, etc...
Heh, I've seen "as many as 75 gathered" at the Wharf watching the guy who uses cans and wood blocks as stencils while he spray-paints outer-space landscapes.
San Francisco? No doubt they are all going to whip the police with their boas.
man, where's a daisy cutter when you need it.
I walked up New Montgomery from Howard at about 7:00 a.m. and there were about 100 police officers, cars, etc., milling about. I asked what was going on and they told me about the protest (with a "sneer" I'm happy to add). I work right at Montgomery and Market and I have to laugh. I get to Market and there's about 10 people on the corner. They have BIIIIG signs though. An hour later, I looked out the window -- traffic's moving, no noise, no nothing.
75 People? BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!! I guess the Kinkos and Starbucks Moonbats were told to come to work.
