On the third anniversary of the Iraq war, the Today show ran a generally predictable segment assessing successes and failures and looking to the future. To be sure, former Clinton administration official Wendy Sherman insisted that the President needs to start "telling the truth." And Gen. Barry McCaffrey thought that not deploying what he considered to be an adequate number of troops was a huge mistake. And yes, former Bush admin spokesman Dan Seymour was more sanguine.
But when it came to revealing Today's bias, most telling were the three man-in-the-street interviews.
The first was a man who expressed support for the Commander-in-Chief, if not for the mission per se, and hoped for the mission "to go through with the least number of lives lost as possible."
But then it was on to an angry lady at a demonstration, exclaiming: "There were no WMDs. 200 people are dying daily around the world because of this lie."
She was followed by a man who said: "We are all asked to support our troops. But really it's about America going and becoming terrorists themselves."
Hmm, let's summarize the NBC flash poll. Among Americans: 33% support the war, 33% think Bush-lied-people-died, and 33% think Americans are terrorists.
Oh, by the way, Katie informed us that the man-in-the-street interviews were "a random sampling." Check.
"NBC's 'Random Sampling': 2/3 Think Bush-Lied-People-Died or Americans Are Terrorists"
Believe that and I have a nice bridge in Brooklyn you can buy.
Total BS. Where did they take the poll? Berkeley?
Tell a lie often enough...
Islamo-Fascist terrorists must be heartened to know that NBC's Random Sampling sides with them.

(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
The only poll that matters, and one they hate and refuse to cite, was the one in November 3004 when all these issues were thoroughly vetted by the opposition and the American people decided...by a majority and with the largest voter-turnout in history.
They tried to fool the American people then...with out and out lies and fraud...and they are trying to do so now. They think so little of us that they are willing to continue with their failed policies and slanting of the news. Well, there will be another election this November and another two-years after that. I bet they find, as in 2004, that we are not buying what they have to sell.
That dog just don't hunt in these parts no more.
On the steps of the DNC headquarters.
That line is actually funny, coming from a former Clinton Administration person. Clinton's was the most corrupt administration in history.
.....former Clinton administration official Wendy Sherman insisted that the President needs to start "telling the truth." ...
Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black, 'I never had sex with that woman'.
Apparently Wendy Sherman and the Today Show need to be on your ping list.
Today Show/NewsBusters 'random-sampling' ping.
Yes, why wasn't Ms. Sherman that vocal eight years ago?

The 'mantra' then, forget the 'personal problems' of the Clintons, look at the economy.
NBC insults anybody that has even a modicum of intelligence.
