Adding more "resources, and making new laws will do nothing.

With one order from the president, the military could practically SEAL OFF the border within months. This is just more BS to try to keep the base from abandoning the Republicans.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Trust me, it ain't gonna happen. Congress will not produce legislation that will solve the border problem. They will, however, produce legislation giveing legal status to millions more aliens.

That was my immediate reaction also. Obvious political gamesmanship. More talk is not going to help them this time, if the "base" does not see tangible results soon, they are gone. Hell, it's probably too late already.

The president cannot just send troops to a state unless that state is violating a federal order or is requested by the Governor. The state has the responsibility of its borders and a national guard.
