Right now, even the most well-intentioned employers lack a quick, efficient, foolproof way to verify the immigration status of the people they hire. Thus, my bill will expand an existing pilot program into a full-fledged electronic employer-verification database to help employers and workers alike.

That's the smartest thing in this bill.

but the plan will probably not work. I say that because we are constantly having to update our currency because of counterfeiting. The same would apply with any electronic system. That systems would be beaten quickly. I prefer existing law be enforced, instead of new untried law which in more cases than not will do nothing to end the problem. This appears to be another feel good measure with more window dresssing while nothing is done about the problem. IMHO
