ANNAPOLIS For the past several weeks, the Maryland Democratic Party has dispatched a researcher to record, photograph and shadow Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele, a Republican U.S. Senate candidate, at his public events around the state.
The researcher, Jennifer Sconyers, has attended several events, ranging from a career day at Crossland High School in Prince Georges County on Wednesday to municipal visits to towns like Washington Grove in Montgomery County.
Paul D. Ellington, Steeles chief of staff and longtime political consigliere, told The Gazette that the Democratic Party is worried that Steele is connecting with Marylanders and is willing to do anything for the partys political gain.
Ellington said he expects Democrat researchers to attend campaign-related events, but attending public events such as municipal tours is excessive.
We have nothing to hide and our scheduling process is open, he said. We welcome the participation of all the public, but we find it somewhat interesting that the Democrats see fit to shadow the lieutenant governor at this early stage.
Democratic Party Chairman Terry Lierman defended Sconyers work, and criticized Steele officials for questioning it. Lierman said other researchers have attended Steele events to keep records of what the lieutenant governor says.
If theyre nervous that someones listening to what the lieutenant governor saying, then he shouldnt be talking or he is not telling the truth, Lierman said. This is an open process and these are public events that were attending.
Ellington complained that Sconyers was acting like a reporter, which was irresponsible.

"We find it somewhat interesting ..."
Huh?
I think we need ourselves a better spokesperson.
The last rock solid part of the Dem base are African Americans. If that rock slips, look out. Blacks are increasingly finding out that the only way the Dems can keep them as voters is to keep them poor and dependant on government.
The rats cannot allow a black Republican to represent the people's socialist commonwealth of MD. Look for some trumped up "scandal" to break in October.

Yeah, the Maryland Rats are as vicious as they get.
They will stop at nothing. I think we should back Steele to the hilt, for all kinds of reasons, but even if things start to look really good in that race, the Rats will win it by any means necessary. I'm sure a phony "scandal" will be part of the picture, as you say. Phuckers.
Ask her if she's MD4BUSH....?

Liberals can get away with labeling Condi Rice and Colin Powell as "tokens", as they were both appointed to their positions, rather than being elected.
If either Steele or Lynn Swann win in November, it will represent a huge turning point in American politics. They'll become public enemy #1 in the eyes of the Democratic Black Caucus. When Julian Bond and Cynthia McKinney start calling them "house slaves", it's going to turn a lot of Black people off.
I've noticed how the Republican National Convention has become much more ethnically diverse over the past several elections. These Black Republican candidates didn't just come out of nowhere. This has been building for awhile, as hard as the MSM has tried to ignore it. When the election season heats up, expect the MSM to give as little attention to these races involving Steele, Swann, and Blackwell. You can be sure they want as few people as possible to know that three Black Republicans are running for high office and have a good shot at winning.
...Democratic Chairman Terry "LIE"rman.
It really shouldn't be this obvious now should it?
Don't forget about Schumer going after his credit records...
A very lucid black politician that is a republican and so the dems malign him. Steal his financial info and smear him.
Gotta love these stupid dems.
Wouldn't it be cool if the GOP would send a "researcher" to "shadow" Sconyers? It shouldn't be too hard or expensive to do.
The Steele campaign should be on the warpath about the Democrat Senatorial Committee (headed by none other than Chuckie Schumerde, aka the Putz), stealing Michael Steele's credit history. The DSC committed the felony of identity theft.
Sent the turdette a brief message.
