So having to actually work over 35 hours a week is what brings this riot on.

Please see Sarah's post. This is not about workweek hours. This is about a revamping of labor contract regulations. The status quo has been challenged. We Americans have had labor unrest, and we condemn child sweatshops and forced prison labor. It will be interesting to see what the french government does.

This is not legitimate labor unrest. This is a bunch of punk kids, agitated by leftists, rioting because they can get fired if they don't do their job (which is only 35 hours a week (and lots of breaks), with 6 weeks of vacation anyway).

It's much ado about NOTHING. No legitimacy to it.

France is out of control.

We Americans have had labor unrest, and we condemn child sweatshops and forced prison labor.

Actually, Americans are happy to buy Chinese or other foreign products made in child sweatshops or prisons as long as it's "Always the Lowest Price..Always!"

If we really believed in basic human and labor rights, American corporations and consumers wouldn't be enriching the brutal, murdering dictators who run China.

If we weren't such hypocrites, we'd be ashamed to buy goods made by millions of poor people enslaved by their own unelected government.

It's a national disgrace for America to be pouring billions into the world's largest and most pervasively evil dictatorship.
