It was 1971 for me and they were still marching and protesting.

I could hardly get to my favorite cafe on St. Michele.

So, from '68 to '71 they were rioting? That's a kinda long time to be on the street......

I was in France (mostly Paris) countless times between '69 and '71, I never saw anyone protest anything. Everybody was very mellow. In the summer of '69, being an American was good for a lot of free stuff in Paris---drinks, show tickets, etc.---on account of the moon landing. They really liked that.
