I know that i'm going to take alot of heat for talking up Romney , but just because he's from Mass shouldn't automatically disqualify him .
LOL, but it does! Perhaps it's only a stigma, but it is enough. You see, he was put in office by the same folks who put in Kennedy, Kerry, Dukakis, ad neauseum.
The country as a whole does not trust the MA voter to do the right thing, JMO.
Three months ago the thought of Romney was enough to upset my stomach given his RINO past, but if he couples a conservative platform with his impressive nongovernmental career and his charsima, he could be a contender.
Mike Pence is my first choice, but Romney or Giuliani would make a good President. If Giuliani wins the primary, he is guaranteed to win the general, and has a good shot at VP if he doesn't win the primary. I'll vote for whoever wins the primary.
I'm a Southern evangelical social conservative who is sick and tired of the nonstop spamming and vitriole from the self-appointed 'voices of pro-life conservativism' Pharisees that swarm to these threads. Their posts far exceed their numbers, and Giuliani (or Romney to a lesser extent) would add many more moderates and economic conservatives votes than they would lose of the social conservatives. Let the bitter ranting 1% go pout somewhere else. I say good riddance, they only give the rest of us social conservatives a bad name and reinforce ugly stereotypes. Most people don't vote on a single issue, but weigh several.
Score one. just came across this.
