This is a problem where legislators are as to blame as the Judges.
And the Governor who appointed someone with a criminal history, what's with that??
What we need is for the Legislators to be made to enact tougher laws, mandatory sentences for these lowlifes. And Governors to be held accountable when they nominate people who hold criminal records to the bench.
The Judge should be removed. Whether or not the poor victims parents wanted them exposed to the trial, there are ways to get the kids testimony without that. It should have been used, and this guy should have been sent away for life.
The psychologist...........please, he won't re offend, until he does.

The governor does not appoint our judges here, they are voted in by the voters. Connor was re-elected in 2004. My guess is that most of the populace here forgot all about those DUIs he had, or else they didn't think it would make a difference in his decisions on the bench. Big mistake. I believe that there are plenty of people (mostly Dems, I'm guessing) that are feeling pretty unhappy with themselves for casting a ballot for him instead of his opponent.
