HARTFORD — Chief Justice William J. Sullivan plans to retire next month, ending a five-year term leading Connecticut's highest court.

Gov. M. Jodi Rell said that Sullivan, 67, will take "senior status" on the high court bench and that she will nominate Associate Justice Peter T. Zarella to succeed him.

Zarella's nomination will be considered by the General Assembly for confirmation. Copyright © 2006, The Associated Press

Does anyone know of this man? Justice Peter T. Zeller?

If he is confirmed, who replaces him?

Thanks :) I was reading that and came back to see you had posted it. LOL So now I don't have to.

Still looking to see where he stands on the Constitution. Being it's CT, may be a useless exercise.

I have appeared before Judge Zarella many times. He is a student of the law and not an activist, balancing Katz, Norcott and Palmer.
