My favorite part of this picture is the fact that Reuters put an (R) next to her name, so you would know which one is the tall one.

She has giantism, not acromeglia....sometimes a giant is a giant. ;)
I have no doubt that the woman is real, but the top photo of her looks 'suspended'. Seems to have been patched onto the other for comparison, perhaps.She doesn't look 'in place' there.
Giveaway- look at the shadows on the left. They are going from left to right under the woman's chair. The giantess' shadow should be the same. It isn't.
It's the herbs.
I guarantee you the photographer was laughing as he put the "(R)" in the caption.
