Taylor is always tough to beat. And with Heath Shuler running who knows what could happen.

An independent poll last week showed Taylor at 47% and Shuler at 40%, head to head. And 52% said they wanted "somebody new" in Congress. Taylor is steadily dropping. Shuler is steadily rising. That's part of my strategy.
Once the Republicans realize that Taylor's career is over, about the middle of next month, that's my opportunity to tell them their only chance to hold the seat for conservative Republican principles, is with me, not Taylor.

And with Heath Shuler running who knows what could happen. You never know what could happen when he's passing either, but in either case it's probably not good.
